We have a detailed understanding of the National Planning Policy Framework, Planning Practice Guidance and relevant national and local transport policies and guidance. We use this knowledge to prepare clear, evidence-based reports that address the requirements of local planning and highway authorities.
Our Transport Assessments set out the development proposals, access arrangements, parking and servicing strategy, and expected travel patterns. We review baseline highway conditions and sustainable transport opportunities to identify how each site can be accessed safely and efficiently.
Using survey data, TRICS information and recognised assessment tools, we calculate likely trip generation, assess the impact of development proposals and test mitigation measures where required.
Sustainability is central to our approach. We seek to minimise traffic impact, congestion and road safety risk by identifying practical opportunities to improve walking, cycling and public transport, alongside highway capacity or safety improvements where these are necessary.
