BSP provides independent Road Safety Audits for highway improvement schemes at the appropriate project stages, from preliminary and detailed design through to construction and post-construction monitoring.
Our fully trained engineers review proposed highway layouts with a focus on identifying potential road safety issues for all users, including pedestrians, cyclists, public transport users and drivers.
We prepare audit briefs for approval by National Highways or the local highway authority where required, drawing on relevant background information such as traffic flows, speeds, collision records and capacity assessments. Where BSP has prepared the design, we can also produce a clear design team response with updated drawings where necessary.
