The building to the front of the site was constructed in the 1980’s, redevelopment includes an extension to the rear and a structural fit out with removal of internal columns and Cat A+ fit out. This new block was designed to maximise flexible working and develop a creative open plan environment.

BSP designed structural engineering concepts to replace internal columns with beams and help realise the vision.

Three of the new-build office accommodation blocks have been completed, Blocks 2 and 3 have semi basement car parking.

Two of the new buildings measure 19,000 sq ft and one will be 16,000 sq ft.

An additional phase included a new £4.5 million multi-storey car park built over four floors. The facility has been created on the site of the company’s existing ground-level car park and has space for an extra 190 cars. Featuring a solar panel roof to power internal lighting and charging points for electric vehicles.

As part of the development work BSP designed the site infrastructure.

The current phase of construction includes an offsite underground Data recovery centre.

Planning permission has been obtained for further commercial development to the rear of the site with RIBA 3 design starting imminently including two storeys of underground car parking.

MHR are a rapidly expanding company and further expansion is being considered at other locations. BSP are assisting with upfront work in assessment of these schemes.
