Three projects BSP Consulting has been involved with have been shortlisted across two categories at the insider Media East Midlands Property Dinner Awards 2026.
Structural engineers at BSP Consulting played a pivotal role in the design of “On Freedoms Wings”, a life-sized steel sculpture of a Lancaster Bomber in Lincolnshire, which has been shortlisted in the Design Excellence Award category.
Leicester’s Jewry Wall Museum was one of two projects named as a finalist in the Regeneration & Restoration Project of the Year category. BSP was the civil and structural engineer on this ambitious restoration project to transform the site into a world-class visitor Centre.
The second project to be shortlisted in the Regeneration & Restoration category was the Cornerstone Theatre with Sutton Community Academy in Sutton-in-Ashfield. BSP was appointed by CPMG Architects to handle the structural solutions of the alterations and refurbishments for the refurbishment and upgrade of the theatre, as part of the £6.27million Future High Streets Fund.
The news comes on the back of the Castleward regeneration scheme in Derby being Highly Commended at the Insider Midlands Residential Awards 2026. BSP Consulting has been involved from the concept stage of this £100 million regeneration project, a joint venture between Derby City Council and Compendium Living and the recognition reflects the strength of a truly collaborative partnership and the long-term vision behind one of Derby’s most significant regeneration projects.
BSP’s Managing Director, Carl Hilton and Business Development Manager, Carrie Booth will be joining property and construction professionals from across the region at the East Midlands Property Dinner on 17th September, where the winners in each category will be announced.
