The competition within the HE sector for students is constantly rising and this is reflected in the standard and provision of student accommodation residences whether by universities directly or through private developers.
Student Accommodation schemes are becoming increasingly design led and more innovative, where technology is providing a growing role not only in terms of improved energy efficiency, but also in the way the students learn and interact.
A greater emphasis is being placed upon the communal and relaxation areas, such as more sophisticated cafes,
informal break out areas and social hubs.
This means that we need to be very intuitive to these design led requirements, working very closely with our architect and M&E design partners, together with university estates teams and facilities manager’s and private landlord companies, to deliver the project vision.
