A development to provide retirement properties in Beeston, Nottingham, has been completed.
BSP Consulting was the structural engineer on the scheme for Churchill Retirement Living.
Gilbert Lodge is a collection of 53 one and two-bedroom retirement apartments, which includes a communal owners’ lounge and a coffee bar.
The development is situated on Wilmot Lane, Beeston. All of the apartments are self-contained with their own front door and there is also a guest suite for friends and family.
Properties benefits from energy and economical heating, with renewable technologies supplying hot water and heating to reduce energy bills, a secure camera entry system and landscaped gardens.
Senior living
“We are delighted to have been a part of the team that recently delivered new retirement properties in Beeston,” said Moein Roodbari, senior structural engineer at BSP’s Derby office.
“We have significant experience of helping to develop senior living accommodation for a range of operators, and it’s great to see that this site developed by Churchill Retirement Living is already proving popular.”
The four-storey retirement living complex is situated on a mixed-use site, on land that was formerly occupied by Myford Works. The wider development of the site includes penthouses and apartments built by Peveril Homes, a Central England Co-op store, and a care home.
Churchill Retirement Living manages over 200 retirement developments across the UK. Gilbert Lodge was launched at the end of 2023 and the first new apartment owners are now moving in.
