The 33.3m main pool at Chase Leisure Centre has been transformed into a six-lane, 25-metre competition-standard facility, with a moveable floor and boom also creating a variable-depth section. A new swimming pool changing village has been created, as well as a brand new fitness suite on the ground floor, with its own dedicated changing facilities. Space for spectators has now been increased and the existing teaching pool refurbished.
Work included the replacement of all the water treatment and filtration systems for the 33.3m pool and learner pool and the design and installation of the static boom and moveable floor system. With the split of the main pool, the pool water circulating pipework is also to be adapted to suit the new geometry.
