BSP Consulting is providing civil and structural engineering services for the redevelopment and refurbishment of a Grade II listed building owned by Grantham College.
Dating back to 1858, Stonebridge House was originally a private residence and its potted history includes use as a school and police offices, before Grantham College purchased the site in 2012.
Currently home to the Department of Creative Media, it is now being redeveloped to reconfigure existing internal space and reclaim a redundant outdoor area to create a modern, functional building to suit current and future educational requirements.
Architect for the scheme is rg+p.
Work is currently progressing on site, with the project due for completion in time for the start of the 2020 academic year.
BSP undertook an initial structural inspection in 2016, before being appointed as the civil and structural engineer on the renovation and single-storey extension.
