CGI of Units at Giltbrook Retail Park
May 7, 2026

BSP Consulting is part of the team adapting units at Giltbrook Retail Park in Nottinghamshire, after a change of use was granted.

Construction is well underway, on behalf of operator British Land, to modify existing buildings to make the space suitable to accommodate a large retail unit and a fitness facility.

Works include dividing the building into two new units. The repurposed units measuring 8,820sqft and 8,500sqft will include a mezzanine floor, new entrances and a new bridge link from the upper deck to an existing car park.

BSP Consulting has been involved in the project since 2024, initially developing early-stage designs alongside lead architect Corstorphine and Wright. BSP is now working with the team, including main contractor Capital Group Ltd and project managers Enborne Project Consultancy, to assist with the civil and structural engineering construction phase works, being contracted to deliver shell and core works in advance of tenant fit out.

There are a number of different retailers within Giltbrook Shopping Park, with notable occupiers including Ikea, Decathlon and M&S. BSP Consulting has also been involved in supporting previous project on the site, including advising on transport works for the drive through McDonalds which opened at the end of 2025.

Development of the new units is expected to complete in the summer, ready for fit out by tenants directly.
