BSP Consulting appointed on Procure Partnerships Framework
August 24, 2020

East Midlands-based civil and structural engineering firm BSP Consulting has been appointed to the four-year Procure Partnerships Framework (Professional Services) Agreement.

BSP won a place on the Procure Partnerships Framework (Professional Services) Agreement to cover both structural engineering, and civil and highways engineering, in the East Midlands.

This latest appointment brings to 16 the number of framework positions that BSP Consulting is currently on.

Business development director at BSP Consulting Jef Todd said: “BSP is very pleased to have been appointed to this new framework to offer our services in civil, highways and structural engineering via the Procure Partnerships Framework.

“Our teams are highly experienced, and the company is one of the largest independent civil and structural engineering firms in the East Midlands, so we look forward to bringing our expertise to key projects on this framework.

“Our sales and marketing team is also looking forward to aligning our marketing activities with the Procure Partnerships team and increasing our social value offering by giving back to the local community throughout the duration of the framework.”

The Procure Partnerships Framework was established to support public sector bodies to compliantly and effectively procure supplier partners to deliver their major capital projects.

The Professional Services Framework will run alongside its already established Contractor Framework.

Procure Partnerships estimates the framework could account for a spend of up to £500m during four years over the 11 regions in England and Wales.

BSP has appointed Tony Goddard, with 28 years of project and framework experience, as the director responsible for the civil and highways engineering lot.

Carl Hilton, who has more than 30 years of project and framework management experience, is director on the structural engineering lot.

Robbie Blackhurst, Procure Partnerships Framework Director, commented: “This agreement has been two years in the making and it now allows the Procure Partnerships Framework to offer a one stop shop of both professional services and contractor appointments to our public sector clients. The framework is divided into sub-regional lots supporting the appointment of both local and national practices, offering both Direct Award and Further Competition project call offs.

“We were extremely impressed with the quality of tenders received and delighted with the calibre of suppliers that we now have locked into our 4 year agreement. The breadth of public sector delivery experience across our supplier partners is impressive and we are excited to work with and support them.

“It was important to us that our supplier partners have demonstrable experience of delivering across all public sub sectors. This attracted 20% of the total evaluation which has meant that we have suppliers who have outstanding experience of delivering Education, Healthcare, Leisure, and Blue Light projects within their specific allotted geographies.”

BSP Consulting, which has its head office in Nottingham and branches in Derby, Leicester and Sheffield, was founded in 1999 and is one of the largest independent civil and structural engineering firms in the East Midlands, providing a comprehensive range of consultancy services in civil, structural, geotechnical, transportation and environmental engineering to all sectors of the construction community, from architects, project managers and contractors to developers and estate agents.
