BSP has designed structures for large bespoke office headquarters and other new build space for specific end user requirements in city centres and edge of city centre locations. BSP has also been involved with projects to convert existing buildings into creative and managed workspaces in recent years to provide opportunities for the SME sector.
The key drivers for the commercial office market have evolved over the last few years with the progress of technology and changes to work practices, and BSP has worked closely with architects and clients to design energy efficient and flexible space to enable occupiers and asset managers to change layouts efficiently as business needs change.
High BREEAM levels have been a feature of many of BSP’s new projects and the key drivers in the future will be changes to building regulations such as Part L and Building Information Modelling (BIM) which will significantly affect the way offices are designed, constructed and operated.
Using BIM, we are able to deliver better buildings, more quickly and at a lower cost than the traditional building process. Effective BIM implementation helps avoid design alterations and reduces time re-working the scheme.
