Extensive earthworks and piling were involved in this project on a sloping site to create a new two-storey health centre for SSAFA Forces Help. The building was a mix of traditional masonry with elements of steel frame sat over extensive reinforced concrete works forming the lower ground floor within the lower section of slope on the site. The building has a mix of finishes, with the roof featuring extensive photovoltaic panels.
The building achieved a ‘very good’ rating under BREEAM.
