Oakham Church of England Primary School features space for 280 pupils, plus a further 35 places for children with special educational needs, 25 nursery spaces and a host of community facilities, built with a range of sustainability and renewable energy strategies included.
The two-storey building includes special SEN areas and an indoor swimming pool which can be used as a hydrotherapy pool. The development achieved a very good BREEAM rating.
The development was named the winner of the ProCon Leicestershire 2011 Award for Sustainable Development.
