Cotgrave Colliery Industrial Units, on Tulip Close in Nottingham is a set of buildings which will bring more jobs and businesses to Cotgrave has been opened. 15 new Industrial Units at Cotgrave in Nottinghamshire have been created. Rushcliffe Borough Council secured £1.8m Growth Deal funding from the D2N2 Local Enterprise Partnership for the business units, which range in size from 750 to 2,000 square feet.
BSP Consulting have been involved in a number of schemes as part of the regeneration of Cotgrave, including a project to improve the town centre and the creation of a housing development at the former Colliery site.
The 15 light industrial units off Holygate Lane will be filled with growing businesses that are expected to bring at least 60 new jobs to the town.
The Rushcliffe Borough Council-owned units were completed in August and opened on Tuesday, October 17, as part of a larger £10.5m investment by the council to regenerate Cotgrave.
A key feature of the design development was the tie-in to the wider scheme.
Discrepancies in information at the start of the design and the actual site led to redesign to ensure thin slopes were acceptable.
Materials management was a key driver for the client and designs were adjusted during construction to retain material on site.
Drainage designs included SUDS systems, most notably permeable paved parking bays with associated under-drains.
Design work was completed to ensure that the scheme made allowance for future extension.
