Centurion Park Industrial Units Tamworth, Centurion Park is a popular industrial and distribution site in a superb location, adjacent to J10 of the M42.
St Modwen Developments Limited, Unit A, Tamworth West, Centurion Park, is the design and construction of a new 52,500sq ft high quality industrial unit for end user DFS to facilitate the delivery of orders to its Midlands’ customer base, built by GF Tomlinson.
The construction of this new unit comes with associated services, parking and offices, bringing up to 40 additional jobs to the area, providing a substantial yard and multiple loading doors, including seven dock level loading doors.
The finished build of this scheme was the first of two units planned for the site.
Unit B Tamworth East is a 147,196 sq ft warehouse that sits along side the currently occupied 53,000 sq ft DFS warehouse.
Unit B includes a Warehouse 147,196 sq ft, Ground Floor Office 3,111 sq ft, First Floor Office 3,111 sq ft.
Totalling 153,418 sq ft. with 141 parking spaces, 24/7 use, B1/B2/B8 planning, 2 level access doors, 14 dock level doors, 11.78m eaves height, built by Bowmer & Kirkland for St Modwen Developments.
Other occupiers at Centurion Park include AAH Pharmaceuticals, Aldi, Speedy Hire and Norbert Dentressangle making it a highly sort after distribution base.
The 20-acre development will deliver more employment opportunities for the region with an anticipation that up to 260 people could be employed in the new sheds.
BSP Consulting were the civil and structural engineers on both projects, providing drainage design, external works, structures, cut & fill and earthworks design.
To allow access to the extension site, BSP Consulting designed a bridge over a watercourse as well as SuDS drainage solutions.
