BSP is part of the team delivering a new Lincolnshire care home scheme.
Client PrimeLife is building a two-storey care home development consisting of four interlinked buildings with 28 bedrooms with ensuites, plus a two-storey, 60-bed care home on the site in Louth.
BSP is civil and structural engineer on the project, which is the second that the company has worked on with PrimeLife.
BSP director Paul Elphick said: “We are very pleased to be working on this new Lincolnshire care home scheme. It’s always good to be appointed on a second scheme by a client. BSP has wide experience in the care home, retirement living and health sector, and we look forward to work starting on site soon.”
Project details
The scheme features a J-shaped extra care home with 60 en-suite bedrooms, communal lounges and dining rooms, a hairdressing salon, staff accommodation and a reception area. It also includes four blocks connected to a square-shaped central communal area, with one block in each corner. Each block will contain seven en-suite bedrooms over two floors with a ground-floor living room and kitchen and a first-floor staff sleepover bedrooms.
The plans also include vehicular access to each building, parking areas and cycle storage spaces, along with private gardens and landscaped open communal spaces.
East Lindsey District Council awarded planning permission last year.
Corporate Architecture is the architect on the development, which is being built on a 0.79-hectare site in Park Avenue – formerly part of the Park Avenue Football Ground.
PrimeLife provides health and social care services through the operation of more than 60 purpose built care homes. For more details about the company visit:
