BSP Consulting is the civil and structural engineer for commercial, retail and leisure elements of the wider 135-acre Teal Close scheme between Netherfield and Stoke Bardolph.
It will create 830 new homes, plus an area known as Teal Park which will feature employment space, leisure areas and a care home.
Property company AC Lloyd Commercial and Nottingham-based Henry Davidson Developments (HDD) have secured planning permission for a 53,000 sq ft trade park and a 28,860 sq ft industrial unit at Teal Park.
Storage Giant, Tool Station, Screwfix and Howdens have already agreed deals to open premises in new units of 30,000 sq ft, 4,000 sq ft, 5,000 sq ft and 6,000 sq ft respectively.
Stainforth Construction is currently on site building units on the trade park.

Other developments planned for the site off Colwick Loop Road include play pitches and children’s play areas, a new community building, a primary school, allotments and an ecology park.
Recently a detailed planning application has been submitted to Gedling Borough Council for the Local Centre on the development.
National food store operator Aldi will anchor the Local Centre, which will also include four additional retail units, a children’s day nursery and a public house.
Subject to planning, it is hoped work on the new store and retail parade will start in autumn this year and be completed in spring 2022.
BSP has provided a range of services for the employment space and the Local Centre elements of the scheme for client AC Lloyd Commercial and Henry Davidson Developments, including flood risk assessment, traffic plans and civil and structural engineering, along with managing earth works.
