BSP undertake a diverse range of track side and non-track side projects including: level crossing programmes, station works, High Output Operating bases (HOOBS), maintenance depots, bridge strengthening, car parking, access for all, culverts and bridges.
With the recent announcement of the CP5 programme of works and the various frameworks within it, BSP is positioning itself to be included by Tier 1 contractors as a strategic supply chain design partner. Tier 1 contractors have important deadlines to meet and BSP understands the need to integrate early in the design process to address the key deliverables of each project, to enable contractors to submit the best value for money proposal.
BSP understands Network Rail’s procurement methodology through Forms 1-4 and Grip Stages 1-5 to ensure that we deliver timely information at each stage.
Using Building Information Modelling (BIM), we are able to deliver better buildings, more quickly and at a lower cost than the traditional building process. Effective BIM implementation helps avoid design alterations, reducing risk and time re-working the scheme. It provides a time-saving solution during which we have now established a REVIT drawing system which includes templates, standard details and drawing protocols. Modelling is carried out to the level of detail required to produce accurate plans and elevations at the defined scale, and specifications as required. All data is produced and named based on the AEC (UK) BIM Protocols.
