Congratulations to the team involved in the development of Mercia House in Derby for Network Rail after the project was highly commended at the Institution of Civil Engineers East Midlands Merit Awards.
BSP was civil and structural engineer for the scheme which was undertaken by Galliford Try on behalf of Network Rail Infrastructure Projects East Midlands.
Other members of the team included designer Ryder Architects.
The development involved creating a new maintenance depot with office accommodation, stores and welfare facilities, including a gym, locker rooms, showers and rest area for staff.
The scheme was given a highly commended accolade at the ICE East Midlands Gala Dinner and East Midlands Merit Awards, held at the Belfry Hotel, Nottingham. The awards celebrate the best civil engineering projects or teams in the region.
