The fourth and final phase of a regeneration scheme in Cotgrave, Nottinghamshire, is getting under way.
BSP Consulting has been part of the team involved in the project throughout the whole development, providing civil and structural engineering services.
This final phase involves building a food store and three additional retail units in a single-storey block on a site that previously housed outdated shops and a police station.
Earlier work on the town centre precinct area has included the refurbishment of retail units and the conversion of the flats above into offices to create Cotgrave Business Hub, and the creation of a new Multi Service Centre, occupied by Belvoir Health Group, police, library and council facilities, with the former buildings that housed those services being demolished to make way for a revitalised public realm and additional car parking.
The client is Rushcliffe Borough Council, and BSP has been working with architects Allan Joyce Architects, Bentley Project Management, and M&E engineer EP Consulting throughout the regeneration programme.
