Plans have been submitted to Derby City Council for the final phase of the £100m Castleward regeneration project.
BSP Consulting has provided full civil, structural and transport engineering services for the project since concept stage and announced the company’s role in the development in 2011.
Phase five involves building 167 new homes built around Canal Street and New Street, with 30% listed as affordable.
Castleward is a long-term partnership between the city council, regeneration specialists Compendium Living, housing developer Lovell Partnerships and Homes England.
When completed, in total nearly 700 new homes will be provided at Castleward, in addition to green space and nearly 35,000 square feet of commercial retail space. It is a long-term placemaking project, which is being delivered over a period of 15 to 20 years.
