Two fast food restaurants built on the site of a former pub have been completed by a team which included BSP as civil and structural engineer.
The McDonald’s and Kentucky Fried Chicken outlets have opened at Clifton, near Nottingham, beside the A453 – one of the main routes into the city centre.
The outlets have been built on the site of the former Man of Trent pub and are expected to create around 100 jobs.
Planning permission for the restaurants was granted in 2012, but work was rescheduled due to improvements being carried out to the A453.
The contractor was Wynbrook Design and Build and the architect was RDA.
Nottingham Panthers players David Clarke, Steve Lee, and Robert Farmer, along with boxer Carl Froch, attended the official opening of the McDonald’s restaurant last month.
