Purpose
BSP Consulting has an immediate vacancy for a talented Structural Engineer Leicester.
The successful candidate will be employed to work in our Leicester office that opened in 2008, within our experienced structural engineering design team.
Responsibilities
The team have recently procured some exciting schemes and works for clients throughout the East Midlands and United Kingdom, covering various sectors including education, health, industrial, commercial and housing. Designs range from multi-storey structures to small housing schemes and range in construction value from £250,000 to £30M. Many projects are undertaken to BIM level 2.
The role will involve the design of structures using the common construction materials of steel, timber, masonry and reinforced concrete and a sound knowledge of geotechnical engineering will also be required.
Experience
The role would suit an experienced structural engineer working towards chartership and looking to develop their career to Senior status and beyond.
BSP Consulting has a positive track record in mentoring staff to achieve membership of either I.C.E or IStructE with all staff being encouraged to join our accredited training agreement.
Education
The successful Structural Engineer Leicester candidate will need to possess strong analytical skills be qualified to Bachelor or Master degree level.
Personal attributes are vitally important to BSP Consulting and the successful candidate will need to possess a strong team work ethic but also be self motivated to work individually and assist with the management of less experienced members of the team.
In addition, the successful candidate will be, computer literate, being fully competent in structural design software including AutoCAD, TEDDS and preferably TEKLA.

Details:
Location: 24 De Montfort Street, Leicester
Hours of work: A minimum of 37.5 hours per week, from 9.00am-4.00pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes lunch.
Holidays: Allowance is in line with industry standard and is subject to relevant experience.
Salary: A competitive salary will be offered and is subject to relevant experience.
