Purpose
BSP Consulting has a vacancy for an Associate Civil/Structural Engineer/Engineering Geologist in Nottingham.
The initial appointment is at Associate level, however it is envisaged that within five years the successful candidate will be leading the Shafts and Tunnelling Section as an Associate Director.
The successful candidate will be based in our Nottingham office, to help expand and develop the existing Shafts and Tunnelling team.
The candidate should have experience of acting as Designers Geotechnical Advisor on projects dealing with National Highways, and ideally would have some experience of working on Network Rail Projects.
The candidate will therefore be a Chartered Engineer with a minimum of 10 years experience of shafts and tunnelling work.
In addition, the candidate should be able to demonstrate experience of leading and running a team.
Responsibilities
To transition into the head of the shafts and tunnelling section at BSP, responsible to the Managing Director.

The successful Senior Structural Engineer Nottingham candidate will need to possess strong analytical skills be qualified to Bachelor or Master degree level.
In addition the successful candidate will be, computer literate, being fully competent in the use of Word and Excel and be experienced in the use of AutoCAD.

Details:
Location: 12 Oxford Street, Nottingham
Hours of work: 37.5 hours per week, from 9.00am-4.00pm, Monday to Friday with 30 minutes lunch.
Holidays: Allowance is in line with industry standard and is subject to relevant experience.
Salary: A competitive salary will be offered and is subject to relevant experience.
