Nottingham-based property developer Bildurn has appointed BSP on two of its city centre refurbishment and renovation schemes.
BSP engineers are working with RD Architects and Franklin Ellis Architects on a project to transform the Gresham Hotel building by refurbishing the existing ground floor retail units and converting the former hotel into city centre apartments. BSP has provided value engineering services as part of the internal modification plans for the building, which is in Carrington Street, near Nottingham Railway Station.
The company is also providing structural engineering support for the refurbishment of the building next to Waterstones in Bridlesmith Gate, Nottingham, which was formerly occupied by a jeweller. The work, which is about to get underway on site, will provided upgraded retail space.
It is the first time Bildurn and BSP have worked together on schemes, said BSP senior structural engineer Gareth Ellison.
Bildurn estates manager Mike Tuck said: “These developments will create high quality residential and retail premises, and we are pleased to have a locally based company with BSP’s expertise on board to help us achieve our ambitions.”
