BSP Consulting is continuing its ongoing relationship with Ratcliffe College by supporting the organisation as it boosts its sports and fitness facilities.
The company previously provided structural and civil engineering for a £4.5m new building for Ratcliffe College Preparatory School, which was completed in 2014 and crowned Building of the Year by Charnwood Borough Council in 2015.
Now BSP is working on a new fitness suite at the college – an extension to its existing sports hall. Staniforth is the architect, Benchmark the project manager and Pure Construction the main contractor.
BSP is also the civil and structural engineer for a new sports hall currently under construction at the site in North Leicestershire, off the A46.
The 1,460 sq m sports hall is the second sports hall at Ratcliffe College and is expected to be completed in September 2019.
Designed by Franklin Ellis Architects, it is again being built by Pure Construction and will be equipped with a function room for hosting match teas, changing facilities and a viewing gallery.
BSP structures director Carl Hilton said: “We have a great ongoing relationship with Ratcliffe College, supporting them as they expand and develop and improve facilities at what is a beautiful countryside site.
“In the last five years we have increased our profile in the educational sector and it now makes up a good percentage of our overall turnover.”
