Work has been completed on a £10 million joint training centre for the emergency services in Derbyshire.

BSP Consulting undertook a number of civil, structural and traffic and transport engineering roles on the scheme for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service and Derbyshire Constabulary.

Built at the site of the constabulary’s headquarters in Ripley, the premises include a new two-storey training building with an attached three double-bay vehicle garage and associated training buildings for Derbyshire Fire and Rescue Service, along with fire behaviour simulation training facilities, training towers and search and rescue facilities.

A new training building for Derbyshire Constabulary has also been completed on the site.

The facilities were built by Bowmer and Kirkland, with other members of the team including Focus Consultants and M&E contractor Neville Tucker.
