Engineers at BSP are playing a key role in a new R&D centre being built by car company Changan in Birmingham.
The firm is civil and structural engineer for the centre, which is currently under construction at Birmingham Business Park in Solihull.
Changan UK R&D Centre Limited (CAUK) is a UK company set up by Chinese firm Changan Automobile – one of the largest car manufacturers in China. The company’s R&D centres have different functions, with the Birmingham operation focusing on Advanced Powertrain design and development.
CAUK already has a number of buildings on the site. BSP has designed a series of test cells within the new building to reduce noise and vibration.
Other members of the construction team are Clegg Construction and architects Ridge.
